资源简介:
This study assesses the effects of trampling on Hormosira banksii dominated rocky intertidal algal beds within Point Nepean National Park, Victoria, over six summers between 1991 and 1996. This dataset gives the percent cover of understory algae within beds of Hormosira banksii after exposure to four levels of trampling for 3 and 5 years. Sites were located at Cheviot Beach (Harry's pool, Cheviot mid) or Grenade Range, ~ 1 km apart. Percent cover of understory algae was sampled in the Autumn of 1993 and 1995, after 3 and 5 years of trampling, respectively. Trampling reduced the abundance of articulated coralline algae at the Grenade Range site but not at either of the two Cheviot Beach sites.
