Family Life and Work in American Society, 1980

<p>This data collection contains a survey on family life and work in American society. The survey was conducted in November of 1980 and focused on "the changing nature of the family, family life, and work." Questions deal with employment status and plans, work patterns, travel-to-work, employment practices, employee benefits, employer responsibilities, reasons for working, working wives/mothers, effects of both parents working on children/families, child care, number of children, family decision making, homemaking responsibilities, etc. Also recorded were age, religion, income, race, religion, and size-or-place. There are three divisions of the survey: a broad public sample, a leaders sample, and a teenagers sample.</p>
