This study focuses on the comparative analysis of two tomato cultivars, AC and mt, with differing levels of resistance to gray mold disease, caused by the fungus *Botrytis cinerea* strain B0510. Samples were collected at 24 and 48 hours post-inoculation with spore suspensions of the fungus, aiming to identify genes uniquely expressed in response to gray mold infection and those differing between the two cultivars. The ultimate goal is to uncover specific genes linked to the immune response against gray mold in tomatoes. Understanding these genetic expressions and variances provides crucial insights into plant defense mechanisms, paving the way for developing tomato strains with enhanced disease resistance. This research holds significant potential for improving crop resilience, thereby contributing to sustainable agricultural practices and food security.
