资源简介:
The project takes its importance from the fact that there is very limited knowledge on the biochemical processes and metabolic mechanisms during the microbial oils accumulation in biomass cultivated in the media containing hydrophobic carbon sources (both lipids and hydrocarbons). SCO is a microbial product with global potential. Gaining knowledge on how cells utilize hydrophobic substrates and then what factors can stimulate SCO biosynthesis will give space for development of work on broader planning of lipid-rich biomass cultivation and search for new applications, thus replacing the known plant-based oils. The studies aimed at looking for strategies to stimulate microbial lipid biosynthesis via the ex novo pathway are necessary. One of the research hypotheses concerns the limitation of nitrogen and phosphorus as drivers of SCO accumulation in substrates containing hydrophobic carbon sources (ex novo route).
