Temporal Changes in Bone-Screw Contact and Pull-out Strength Following Cortical Screw Implantation: An In Vivo Rabbit Study
收藏资源简介:
Per-animal data underlying the figures and tables of a study of cortical screw fixation in a rabbit tibial model. Thirty male New Zealand White rabbits received a 2.4 mm diameter titanium-alloy cortical screw inserted monocortically into each tibia, and six animals were euthanized at each of five time points (1 day and 1, 2, 4 and 8 weeks after surgery). The right tibia was used for biomechanical pull-out testing and the left tibia for quantitative bone histomorphometry on undecalcified Villanueva-Goldner-stained sections. The dataset contains one row per animal (n = 30) with pull-out strength, tissue area (T.Ar), bone volume fraction (BV/TV), osteoid volume (OV/BV), osteoblast surface (Ob.S/BS), osteoclast number (N.Oc/BS) and bone-screw contact rate (BSCR). No values are missing and no observations were excluded.
