16S rRNA sequencing in the feces of mice with fenofibrate treatment

Previous reports indicated that a high-fat diet affects gut microbial diversity, whether fenofibrate reduces hepatic steatosis in HFD-fed mice through a direct effect on the gut microbial community remains unclear. To address this question, we examined the composition of the microbial community in the feces of mice by 16S rRNA gene sequencing. The data indicated that fenofibrate affected microbial community composition.
