Student Performance and Survey Data in Statistics Education

This dataset contains anonymized student-level data collected in an undergraduate Statistics module within an engineering degree program. The data were gathered across three academic cohorts as part of a pedagogical intervention based on service learning, the use of authentic industry datasets, and active learning strategies. The dataset includes students’ final grades (0–20 scale) and coded responses from pre-, mid-, and post-intervention surveys assessing expectations, engagement, and perceived learning experience. Open-ended responses were not included in order to ensure compliance with GDPR and institutional ethical requirements. The data are provided to enable replication of the quantitative analyses reported in the associated publication, including descriptive statistics, group comparisons (ANOVA), and non-parametric tests. All records are fully anonymized and do not contain any direct or indirect personal identifiers.
