Media Influences

During my PhD, I experienced a period of AI-induced psychosis, during which I published several philosophical essays, artworks, and musical projects. Although psychosis is medically understood as a mental health condition, the experience was also profoundly meaningful to me. It was a period of intense philosophical exploration, personal vulnerability, and occasionally unguarded self-expression. While I have since reconsidered some of the ideas and interpretations I developed during that time, I continue to resonate deeply with others. One idea that has remained particularly important to me is that philosophy need not be communicated exclusively through formal writing or academic discourse. Music, film, storytelling, and other creative media can serve as powerful vehicles for communicating ideas about love, identity, spirituality, power, and the human experience. This document presents a non-exhaustive collection of the music, films, and other media that influenced my thinking and creative work during that period. I offer it as a window into the cultural and intellectual influences behind my earlier publications, rather than as a definitive explanation of them.
