Bulk RNA sequencing was performed on peripheral blood samples from 5 Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC)-PD patients, 5 M. abscessus (MAB)-PD patients, and 10 healthy controls (HC). A discovery cohort (3 MAC-PD, 3 MAB-PD and 2 HC) subjected to single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) and a validation cohort (23 MAC-PD, 27 MAB-PD and 35 HC) was established for quantitative reverse transcription PCR (qRT-PCR) analysis of core gene expression.
