The program SWX decodes the AFOS product STADTS and writes a decoded version to file SVWX0. The program SWY reads the file SVWX0 to produce a plot of severe weather events which is stored as AFOS product NMCGPHSWX and also writes the plotted severe weather events to file SVWX2. This revision of SWY permits severe events to be sorted by time to the nearest minute (see Addendum).
