In this study, 19 participants with Odontogenic sinusitis were recruited. DNA was extracted from nasal mucosa, nasal sinus secretions and oral mucosa tissues of patients, and 16S rRNA sequencing was used for taxonomic analysis. Our study provides the first knowledge of the microbiological etiology of nasal and the connected dental regions in OS and it is expected to provide novel methods for its prevention and therapeutic strategies.
