资源简介:
Discharge computations for the streams measured by University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) from 2019-2023. These data are from Cowee Creek, Herbert River, and Sheep Creek, located near Juneau, AK. Streamflow information was collected by gaging stations maintained by UAS. These stations record elevation of the water in the stream every 15 minutes. The water elevation is then converted to streamflow (i.e. discharge) using an annual rating curve that relates water level and discharge. There are two .csv files per site: one with 15 minute interval flow data and the other with daily mean flow values. Units are listed in the file headers (cms for Cowee and Sheep & cfs for Herbert). Flow computations are the result of in-situ sensors, in-person flow measurements, stage readings, and contract work by Ed Neal of Alaska Hydroscience. The primary focus for flow measurements was during the time sampling occurred, which was during the peak runoff season (April and October). Flow data availability varies by site based on sensor status. Values outside of the April to October period should be interpreted with caution as ice formation and limited winter sensor maintenance can affect values.
