The Site became playing fields in 1937 and a small pavilion being built in the north east corner of the site in 1938. The present pavilion was built between the late 1930s-late 1940s, first depicted on the 1948-1952 edition Ordnance Survey map. The central block is a brick two-storey structure with two single-storey wings either side. The building designed in simple Arts and Craft Style with timber covered veranda/loggia below half timber-framed projecting first-floor gable dormer. Seventy high-resolution digital photographs were taken to record the exterior and interior of the building.
