ZMAN accommodates approximately 5250 type and 600 non-type specimens of Oriental Coleoptera contained in a range of families. Digital information associated with the types makes these specimens manifest for the international scientific community, enables an adequate interpretation of the species, and facilitates a proper reconstruction of the relevant parts of the Tree of Life.
