资源简介:
The site was in the intersection between a moderately burn and a high burn severity area. One sensor installation location was selected in the moderately burn area, near an unburned tree (i.e., live tree) and one sensor installation location was selected in the high burn severity area near a burned tree (i.e., dead tree). The trees and undercover vegetation were completely burned in the dead tree location, macropores were present at the location, and ash was covering the soil surface. The live tree location consisted of burned and unburned trees, no apparent macropores or an ash cover was present at the location. The live tree location was selected as a control to understand the temporal changes in water retention in wildfire-burned sites. Water retention data was collected over a year after the wildfire.
