Silencing Uracil-DNA glycosylase inhibits colorectal cancer progression

Uracil-DNA glycosylase (UNG), a key DNA repair enzyme belonging to the uracil-DNA glycosylase (UDG) superfamily, is essential for preserving genomic stability. However, its specific roles and contributions to colorectal cancer (CRC) initiation and progression remain inadequately understood. This study systematically investigated the clinical relevance, biological functions, and underlying molecular mechanisms of UNG in CRC.
