Simulated wind vectors across Marion Island for 16 different oncoming wind directions

This dataset presents the results of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations of 16 cardinal wind directions over Marion Island at a constant inlet speed. The dataset includes 16 CSV files containing wind vector data at multiple constant heights above ground level, extracted from simulations conducted using ANSYS Fluent 2019R3. Additionally, a CSV file provides the weighted average wind vectors at 1m above ground level, along with an R script for reproducing these results or extending the analysis to other heights. The dataset supports the publication accepted for publication in the Geoscience Data Journal (DOI: https://doi.org/10.1002/gdj3.70035) and includes further details in the accompanying documentation.
