Site Data from Archaeological Investigations at Northdale End, Raunds, Northamptonshire, 2022 and 2023

This collection comprises images, a report, and GIS data from archaeological investigations at land at Northdale End, Raunds, Northamptonshire. In advance of residential development, Albion Archaeology undertook an open-area excavation within Site E, between January - February 2023. Following a trial trench evaluation in October 2022. The most significant evidence on site consisted of settlement-related remains dating to the late Anglo-Saxon period, including the remnants of a timber post-built structure. The changing pattern of land-use adds to our understanding of the origins and development of the medieval village of Raunds.
