Replication package for Acknowledgement, delivery and resource cost in OpenTelemetry collection under backend outages and Collector restarts

This record contains the data and code for a controlled experiment on OpenTelemetry Collector Contrib v0.160.0. Seven queue, acknowledgement and batching configurations were tested under normal operation, temporary backend rejection, and backend rejection combined with graceful or forced Collector restarts. The 338 retained runs comprise 280 main runs and 58 controls. Separate sender, backend and controller records support measurement of acknowledgement, delivery, duplicates, delay and resource use within a finite observation period. The study uses synthetic OTLP/HTTP spans on one host. The experimental archive preserves the frozen protocol and manifests, acquisition and analysis code, raw run records, build provenance and derived outputs. A companion package supplies corrected reproduction instructions, dependency versions, licenses, a checksum verifier, and the current manuscript sources and generation tools.
