US school district weather-closing rules
收藏资源简介:
Published rules that US school districts use to decide whether to close or delay school for snow, ice and cold: wind chill and air temperature thresholds, snow criteria, forecast check times, decision times and the action taken. 108 districts in 45 states. Every row links its source (a district page, board policy or a dated news story quoting the district), and every source was read on 3 or 4 November 2026. Most published cold rules sit between -20°F and -35°F wind chill (median -20°F). Only 5 of the 29 southern, mid-Atlantic and southern Plains districts publish a temperature; most publish road-check and decision times instead. 65 of the 68 districts that give a morning deadline aim to decide by 6 am.
