Genome assembly of Xylocarpus granatum. Xylocarpus granatum

This project provides resources for genomic study of Xylocarpus granatum. Mangrove plants are important for ecology and economy. The mangrove ecosystem provides various benefit through the ecosystem service. Despite their benefit, mangrove forests are decreasing of human activity. Thus, mangrove plants have high priority to research at the aspect of conservation ecology and genetics. The reference genome data is useful tool for various field of study. The genome data of mangrove species could help to reveal mechanism of ecosystem and evolution. Genomic data is also necessary for management of mangrove forest with assessing genetic diversity and robustness.
