Schooling arrangements in public and private schools by type of special educational need in Spain: Analysis of the 2014/2015–2023/2024 decade

This database corresponds to the paper: "Schooling arrangements in public and private schools by type of special educational need in Spain: Analysis of the 2014/2015–2023/2024 decade". The specific goals of this study were: 1. To analyze the trend in the number of students with different types of special educational needs (SEN) identified in Spain during the 2014/2015–2023/2024 period. 2. To compare the schooling arrangements for students with different types of SEN during the 2014/2015 and 2023/2024 academic years. 3. To analyze the educational stage of students with different types of SEN in Spain during the 2023/2024 academic year. 4. To analyze the distribution of students with different types of SEN enrolled in mainstream schools within the public and private school networks in Spain during the 2023/2024 academic year. The data for each goal are presented in a separate spreadsheet. The data file was compiled using official statistics from the Spanish Ministry of Education: https://www.educacionfpydeportes.gob.es/en/servicios-al-ciudadano/estadisticas.html
