Monthly Meteorological Dataset for Wind Speed Forecasting in Barishal, Bangladesh, 1981–2025

This dataset contains monthly meteorological data used for monthly wind-speed forecasting in Barishal, Bangladesh, covering January 1981 through December 2025 (540 monthly observations). The deposited dataset contains seven monthly meteorological variables, of which five variables—wind speed at 10 m (WS10M), air temperature at 2 m (T2M), wet-bulb temperature at 2 m (T2MWET), relative humidity at 2 m (RH2M), and surface pressure (PS)—were used in the present analysis. Precipitation (PRECTOTCORR) and specific humidity at 2 m (QV2M) were retained in the deposited dataset but were not used as model inputs. The repository provides both the original cleaned wide-format data file (Wind_data.csv) and an analysis-ready monthly dataset (barishal_monthly_meteorological_dataset_1981_2025.csv) containing one row per month.
