This dataset is not granted an open license; any use requires prior written permission. A field survey was conducted in July 2018 at 13 sites across Xinjiang (China), Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, with a total of 155 wild apple trees sampled. Plot size was 30m × 30m, and each tree had 8 branches sampled from different directions. Coordinates, altitude, and topography were recorded. Leaf samples were dried, milled, and analyzed for C, N, P, and K using standard laboratory methods. C and N were measured via an elemental analyzer, P by spectrophotometry, and K using flame spectrophotometry. Environmental factors, including geography (latitude, longitude, altitude), soil (organic carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, pH), climate (MAT, MAP, AI), and vegetation (NDVI) were analyzed. Soil samples were taken from 0–10 cm depth, and climatic data were obtained from WorldClim and CGIAR databases.
