Transcriptome and expression profile analysis of highly resistant and susceptible sweet pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) leaves challenged with Xanthomonas campestris pv. Vesicatoria

We examined the transcriptome of bacterial spot disease -susceptible cultivar ECW and -resistant cultivar VI037601 at 0, 24 and 48 hours post Xanthomonas campestris pv. Vesicatoria (Xcv) strain23-1 inoculation using the HiSeqTM 2500 sequencing platform to provide the information on the response to Xcv infection at the transcriptional level in pepper.
