资源简介:
This is a tab separated value file (.tsv) of examples of lexemes with bilabial trills from languages of Malekula Island in Vanuatu. Each lexeme is linked to a language name, Glottocode, the type of trill that is found in the lexeme, a gloss, source, and in some cases, an additional note. This file constitutes Appendix B of the article: Rangelov, Tihomir & Mary Walworth & Julie Barbour. 2023. A multifaceted approach to understanding unexpected sound change: The bilabial trills of Vanuatu’s Malekula Island. Diachronica. https://doi.org/10.1075/dia.21051.ran  This database contains: •1349 words from 23 Malekula languages •1272 examples of ᵐʙ •77 examples of ᴩ (ʙ̥) UTF-8 encoding. ᴩ stands for plain voiceless bilabial trill [ʙ̥]. Morpheme boundaries are marked by an n-dash (-). VV = Vanuatu Voices. A list of references can be found in the article.  The spelling of the original words has been modified here as much as possible to be closer to IPA: prenasalization and labialization are marked as superscripts, j has been changed to tʃ, etc.  This list was curated by Tihomir Rangelov. Some unpublished data were provided by their authors, as indicated. This version of the database as of 26 APRIL 2022.
