Mechanism of pyroptosis of pancreatic cancer induced by arachidonic acid

Pancreatic cancer is one of the most deadly malignant tumors, and its treatment is scarce. This study found that arachidonic acid can induce pyroptosis of pancreatic cancer both in vitro and in vivo, and can cause immune cell infiltration. Arachidonic acid can be used as a tumor killing drug and an immunotherapy activator, which provides a new idea for the treatment of pancreatic cancer. Overall design: We found that tumor cells could pyroptosis only under the condition of high concentrations of arachidonic acid treatment, but not at low concentrations. Therefore, RNA-seq was performed on three groups of samples, including Control, 40µM AA treatment group and 120µM AA treatment group, to find out the specific mechanism of arachidonic acid-induced pyroptosis in tumor cells.
