Site Data from an Archaeological Evaluation at Hillside Road, Castle Gresley, Swadlincote 2019

This collection comprises site data from an archaeological evaluation undertaken by Wessex Archaeology in June 2019 of a 5.2 ha parcel of land located off Hillside Road. The evaluation discovered archaeological features across the proposed development area, a portion of which were excavated in order to try to ascertain their date and function. There were no dateable finds recovered during the evaluation, limiting the ability to firmly date any of the features.
