The aim of this study was to evaluate 5 primer sets for the characterization of fungal communities in human stool samples. To do this we sequenced 18S rRNA, ITS1, ITS2 and 28S rRNA amplicons. A mock community and a spiked stool sample were used as template. The primer sets used were two for ITS2 and one for 18S rRNA, ITS1 and 28S rRNA.
