Detecting genetic basis controlling the female-specific polymorphism in Ischnura. Ischnura senegalensis

The female-specific polymorphism in Ischnura is interesting trait for studying. One morph in female is similar to male in body color ,while other morphs in female are different from male in body color. It is known that the female-specific polymorphism is maintained by negative frequency-dependent selection that caused by mating harassment. The female-specific polymorphisms are acquired multiple times in the process of evolution in Odonata. Therefore, we clarify genetic basis controlling the female-specific polymorphism in Ischnura, and evolutionary process of the female-specific polymorphism.
