资源简介:
Dual-frequency identification sonar (DIDSON) was used to estimate adult
summer chum salmon Oncorhynchus keta and pink salmon O. gorbuscha passage
in the Anvik River from June 16 to July 26, 2024. Apportionment to species
was determined using data collected from tower counts. A total of 135,164
(SE 5,726) summer chum salmon and 126,732 (SE 3,032) pink salmon were
observed to have passed the sonar site. A high-water event necessitated
removing the sonars from the water on July 14. The right bank sonar was
redeployed on July 19 and the left bank on July 20. The range of
ensonification was considered adequate for most fish that migrated
upstream. A beach seine fishery was conducted to collect age, sex, and
length information. Because of high water, the fishery was discontinued
after July 9. Climate date was collected daily at 1800 and water
temperature data was collected hourly.
