FUNWAVE-Duck Nearshore Wave Benchmark (128x128)

A benchmark of 81 phase-resolving nearshore wave simulations produced with the FUNWAVE-TVD Boussinesq model (v3.6) over the nearshore bathymetry of the Field Research Facility (FRF) at Duck, North Carolina. Each simulation provides the free-surface elevation as a (240, 128, 128) float16 time series sampled at 2 Hz, together with the bathymetry at its native resolution. The surface-elevation fields are provided already interpolated to the 128x128 grid used for training and evaluation. An exact, deterministic train/validation/test split (57/8/16 simulations) is included. The dataset supports surrogate and neural-operator modeling of high-frequency, phase-resolving nearshore surface waves. A minimal numpy+torch reference loader is included. Citation is withheld during double-blind peer review; a full reference will be added upon publication.
