Expression data of lncRNAs and mRNAs extracted from PBMCs of tuberculosis patients and healthy individuals[HTA2.0]

Tuberculosis (TB) is the ninth leading cause of death worldwide and the leading cause from a single infectious agent, ranking above HIV/AIDS.Although considerable advances have been achieved in recent years, the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying this disease remain largely unclear. In the present research, we used the Affymetrix GeneChip Human Transcriptome Array 2.0 to investgate the profiles of differentially expressed lncRNAs and mRNAs from the peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of 7 TB patients and 5 healthy controls (HC). Peripheral blood samples of 7 TB patients and 5 healthy individuals were collected for the PBMCs total RNAs extraction and hybridization on Affymetrix microarrays. In TB group, 7 newly diagnosed pulmnary TB patients were selected: TB-1, TB-2, TB-3, TB-4, TB-5, TB-6 and TB-7. Meanwhile, 5 healthy individuals were selected as controls: HC-1, HC-2, HC-3, HC-4 and HC-5.
