资源简介:
This dataset includes summary MRI data used in a publication identifying differences in insular organization to an autonomic challenge, a static hand-grip, between people with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and controls, with separation by sex. The protocol consisted of a series of four 16-second hand-grip maneuvers at subjective 80% maximum strength one minute apart, with baseline (1 min) and recovery periods (44 s). Continuous fMRI whole-brain scans were collected at 2 s intervals. Timetrends from five insular gyri in each hemisphere were extracted, and scaled as percent change relative to the 1 min baseline. The timetrends were split and averaged over the four challenges. The purpose of the data analysis was to highlight differences between these gyri, so "difference" timetrends were calculated for 1) anterior vs posterior and 2) right vs left. These difference timetrends were then plotted in MATLAB, analyzed in SAS, and results exported to Excel. The dataset includes the MATLAB figures, the data preprocessed for input to SAS, the SAS code, the SAS library, and the summary Excel files. For each OSA vs. control comparison, one main and eight additional SAS models were run: group, time, group x time group, time, group x time, age/HR group, time, group x time, age/HR x group group, time, group x time, age/HR x time group, time, group x time, age/HR x group x time where HR is the median heart rate during baseline. We also included the intrinsic PLG changes. The RMANOVA procedure is described in detail elsewhere (10.12688/f1000research.8252.1). The mean T1 anatomical scans are included in the "Main+Age" file sets (they also apply to the "Main+HR" sets). These include the normalized scans' mean and standard deviation for 1) all subjects and 2) each group. The VOI in normalized space are included.
