This study sought to identify transcriptomic and protein markers of T cell exhaustion that may predict response to anti-program cell death-1 (anti-PD-1) / anti-PD-L1-based ICI therapy for patients with advanced/metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Overall design: The immune cell composition of archival HCC tumor who received ICI therapy was analyzed by transcriptomic analysis to identify markers of T cell exhaustion that best associated with treatment efficacy.
