CAS A – Comparison Chandra DS9 vs. CASA IVT (Color A)

This dataset provides a direct comparison of Cassiopeia A (CAS A) visualizations using Chandra DS9 and CASA IVT. Both images are based on identical raw data from the Chandra X-ray Observatory (NASA/CXC) and the same color map (“A”). Despite identical inputs, the visual impressions differ significantly: DS9 flattens the structures into color fields, while CASA IVT highlights densifications and voids. This demonstrates the principle of the Information Densification Theory (IVT): visualization itself is a form of information densification.
