Extreme Climate Loss Dataset of Hainan Island

This dataset provides estimates of economic losses from three types of extreme climate events on Hainan Island, China: drought, heatwave, and heavy rain. The losses were quantified in Chinese Yuan (CNY) based on multi-source meteorological and socio-economic data. The dataset is organized as three NetCDF files, each representing one type of extreme event, with spatial coverage across Hainan Island and a temporal span of 1970–2020 at monthly resolution. The data can support research on climate change impacts, disaster risk assessment, and regional adaptation strategies.
