Cortical microcircuit model validation data for NEST and NEST GPU (2.0)

The dataset has been produced to validate the NEST GPU library on the simulation of the cortical microcircuit model, taking the NEST simulator as a reference. A previous version of the NEST GPU library (labeled "offboard" here) has already been validated. This dataset enables the validation of the most recent version of the library (labeled "onboard"), which implements a different network construction algorithm.The dataset contains all the Python scripts needed to reproduce the validation plots and the data is organized into different sets of NEST and NEST GPU simulations for the validation to be done. Each set contains 100 simulations using different seeds for random number generation. The dataset stores the results of these simulations in the form of spike data and organizes this data into csv. The Python pipeline enables the creation of the csv files, however, they are provided even so to enable a quick reproduction of the validation figures.
