Data from: Bee phenology in the tropics: A meta-analysis of environmental and functional trait effects on bee dormancy
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains the comprehensive database compiled for a continental-scale quantitative synthesis across Brazil, featuring information on bee dormancy across different locations, years, and bee species. Data Structure and Content Taxonomic Information: Taxonomic classifications of the studied bee species, including family, tribe, genus, and species. Location: Geographical coordinates of the study sites where the bee dormancy data were collected. Year: The specific year in which the bee dormancy data were obtained. Dormancy Data: A 12-month binary vector representing monthly dormancy status. Specifically, a value of 0 (active) was assigned to months during which nest building, foraging, or reproductive activities were observed, while a value of 1 (dormant) was assigned to months characterized by inactivity or diapause observations. For studies with sub-monthly observation intervals, a month was coded as active (0) if activity was recorded on at least 15 days during that month. Dormancy duration was subsequently calculated as the total number of dormant months. Reference: The bibliographic reference of the publication from which the bee dormancy data were extracted.
