The Chorus Education in Chinese Secondary Schools: Based on Wuzhou Municipality, Guangxi, China

The research objectives are to understand the current situation of chorus teaching at Wuzhou Secondary Schools, to understand the development of chorus art activities at Wuzhou Secondary Schools, to find out the solutions to the problems existing in the development of chorus education at Wuzhou Secondary Schools, and to find a suitable way for the development of chorus art at Wuzhou Secondary Schools. This study employed a mixed design. The research instruments included questionnaires, interviews, and field visits. The sample for the student questionnaire consisted of 600 students from Wuzhou Secondary School. The teacher questionnaire included responses from 25 teachers across 6 secondary schools. In total, this accounts for 68 secondary school music teachers. Statistics mainly used percentages and analysis. Through data analysis and reason analysis, we gained an understanding of the development of secondary school choral education in Wuzhou City, including the following points: understanding the situation of chorus teachers at Wuzhou Secondary Schools, the situation of chorus teaching equipment at Wuzhou Secondary Schools, the formation of Wuzhou Secondary School Choir, the development of Wuzhou chorus competition and chorus concert, and the problems facing the development of choral education at Wuzhou Secondary Schools
