The PRODES project (http://www.obt.inpe.br/prodes/) makes available information about deforestation in Amazonia. The deforestation data from PRODES for the area between the Rives Purus and Madeira was gathered in a mask of polygons delimiting deforestation features to be correct in the Digital Elevation Model (DEM) of the Shuttle Radar Topographic Mission (SRTM). This mask of polygons is a product associated to the “Deforestation-corrected SRTM-DEM” also available in this data repository.
