Church Monitor 2002

The survey focused on Finnish perceptions of sin and supernatural phenomena. First, the respondents were asked whether they belonged to a church or other religious denomination, whether they believed in God, and how often they attended church services. Moral concepts and moral values were studied by asking the respondents whether certain actions were morally wrong or not: use of alcohol, smoking, use of illegal drugs, lying, envying others, stealing, killing, tax fraud, extramarital sex, homosexual sex, use of contraceptives, abortion, divorce, etc. The respondents were asked to what extent they agreed with a number of statements relating to UFOs, alternative medicine, astrology, reincarnation, fortune-telling, spiritual growth, and meditation. Background variables included the respondent's gender, age group, education, type of neighbourhood, and province of residence.

本调查聚焦于芬兰人对罪恶及超自然现象的认知。首先，调查对象被问及他们是否属于某一教会或宗教派别，是否信仰上帝，以及他们参加教堂礼拜的频率。通过询问调查对象某些行为是否属于道德错误，研究道德观念和道德价值：酒精使用、吸烟、非法药物使用、撒谎、嫉妒他人、盗窃、杀人、税务欺诈、婚外性行为、同性恋性行为、避孕药使用、堕胎、离婚等。调查对象还被询问他们对与不明飞行物、替代医学、占星术、轮回、占卜、灵性成长和冥想相关的若干陈述的认同程度。背景变量包括受访者的性别、年龄组、教育程度、居住社区类型以及居住省份。
