This dataset contains raw RNA and protein sequencing data from a study investigating the effects of recombinant METRNL/Meteorin-like/IL-41 protein on osteogenic differentiation of MC3T3-E1 cells. Mouse calvarial osteoprogenitor cell line MC3T3-E1 (subclone 14) was cultured for 28 days in osteogenic induction medium. The experimental group was treated with 50 ng/mL of recombinant human METRNL protein (Abcam, ab267871), while the control group received no treatment (3 biological replicates per group). Total RNA was collected on Day 28 and sent to the high-throughput laboratory of BGI Genomics Co., Ltd. (Shenzhen, China) for eukaryotic transcriptome sequencing. Total cells were collected on Day 28 and sent for quantitative proteomics analysis to Hangzhou Jingjie Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (Hangzhou, China). These datasets provides insights into the molecular mechanisms by which METRNL regulates osteogenic differentiation, with potential applications in bone regeneration research.
