Since 1995, the "European Database for Corrugated Board Life Cycle Studies" is part of an environmental project undertaken by FEFCO (European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers) and CCB (Cepi ContainerBoard). The data are collected and processed by the industry and are available from the industry itself in the form of a public available report, containing gate-to-gate data sets. It is updated at least every 3 years, the last time in 2009. The data in the seventh edition represent the weighted averages of the inputs into and outputs from the production sites per ton net saleable product (paper and corrugated board) from the production sites for the year 2008. Additives that contribute less than 0,5 % of the weight of the net saleable product have not been updated. For these additives the data for 1999 are reported.

Technical Purpose: Corrugated board is a high performance packaging material desigend to pack, protect and promote products.
