For IbpA-msfGFP, strain was cultured at 37°C in M9 0.2% glucose CAA 0,1% medium until OD600 = 0.5 using a 1/1000 dilution from an overnight preculture. Cells were immobilized in same medium supplemented with 1% agarose and imaged using 80ms phase contrast (ph) and 200ms GFP acquisition time. For MG1655 pUA66-ahpCp and MG1655 pUA66-marRp, cells were cultured at 37°C in M9 0.4% glycerol medium supplemented with kanamycin until OD600 = 0.5 using a 1/1000 dilution from an overnight preculture. Cells were immobilized in same medium supplemented with 1% agarose and imaged using 100ms ph and 100ms GFP acquisition time.
