At the end of fiscal year 2018, the share of expansion through greenfield investments in the Indian cement industry was approximately 70 percent. The share was forecast to decrease and reach 57 percent by the end of fiscal year 2021. The Indian cement and gypsum industry witnessed the inflow of FDI amounting to over five billion U.S. dollars between April 2000 and December 2018.
