Chemical analysis of drill holes from Haveri tailing deposit at SW Finland

In Finland, 418 mines have operated between 1520 and 2001, producing a large amount of material in tailings deposits. One of these operations is the Haveri copper-gold mine, which operated between 1942 and 1960, leaving 1.559 Mt of tailings. The available data were compiled based on previous research and come from two drilling campaigns carried out in the tailings dam, one in 1980 and the other in 1983. <br> The exploratory campaigns comprise 165 vertical drill holes with a total of 1114 samples. All the drill holes cover the full vertical dimension and reach the bottom of the dam. The drill hole samples were composited at a length of 1 meter. <br> Each composite presents information on its geographic coordinates (easting, northing and distance to the drill hole header), the identifier of the drill hole, and the grades of gold, cobalt, copper and iron. <br> The data is presented as CSV file with the following columns: holeid, x, y, z, Au_PPM, Co_PPM, Cu_PPM, Fe_pc, Year. It is necessary to remark that the elements Au, Co and Cu are in part per million (PPM) but Fe is measured in percentage (PC).
