It evaluates patent quality from dimensions including patent documents, legal information, and operational status to screen out key patents in this field, helping enterprises grasp the development trends of wafer-level bump technology and identify leading industry enterprises with potential competitive-cooperative relationships. Data collection: Conduct technical disassembly for wafer-level bump technology, retrieve patent data of each technical branch from third-party retrieval platforms based on keywords and classification numbers of each technical branch, then aggregate and denoise the patent data across all technical branches. Data processing: Perform evaluation and scoring on multiple dimensions of patents, and calculate the basic score and additional score of patents via algorithms. The total patent score is 100 points, which equals the sum of the basic score and additional score. A higher total score indicates better patent quality, and vice versa. The basic score is the weighted sum of scores from each basic dimension. The basic dimensions and their corresponding weights are: number of citations made by the patent (10%), number of citations received by the patent (10%), number of IPC classification codes (10%), number of document pages (30%), number of claims (40%). The weight assignment method for basic dimensions is as follows: ① Multiple experts assign subjective values to each dimension based on experience; ② Count the subjective assignments of all experts, remove the maximum and minimum values, and calculate the average; ③ The weight value of scoring dimension n = (average assignment of scoring dimension n / sum of average assignments of all scoring dimensions) * 100%. The calculation result is rounded to the nearest 10% according to the round half to even rule. The additional score = (100 - basic score) / 100 * weighted additional score. The additional dimensions and their corresponding weights are: number of simple patent family members (20%), whether the patent right is transferred (20%), number of licensing times (20%), number of pledge times (10%), number of invalidation proceedings (30%). The weight assignment method for additional dimensions is the same as that for basic dimensions; the weighted sum of scores from each additional dimension is the weighted additional score, with a maximum value of 100 points.
