Images and GIS data from an Evaluation at Blackpool Bridge, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire 2021

This collection comprises images and GIS from a programme of archaeological work undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology at Blackpool Bridge, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, In March 2021. Elements of the original construction of the bridge were identified and recorded, including the bridge arch and original parapets, all sealed by a series of levelling deposits and a pitched stone road surface. No datable material was recovered. Deposits relating to the 20th-century adaptations, repairs and widening of the bridge were also identified.
