自古不同文明对星空有完全不同的解读,形成了不同的星空文化。中华文明源远流长,先人把古代社会和传统文化映射到漫天星斗,建立了与西方星座完全不同的星官体系。体现“天人合一”理念的中国传统星象,是历经千年相传的世界文化瑰宝。作为中国人,我们应该了解自己的星空。但在普通大众眼中,西方星座的“天蝎”、“猎户”耳熟能详,却很少有人能说出“三垣二十八宿”的含义。当今,在公众中传播中国传统星座知识,是普及天文科学,弘扬传统文化,推动科技与文化“双轮驱动”的一次很好实践。中国虚拟天文台(China-VO)依托中国科学院国家天文台雄厚的科研和技术实力,以万维天文望远镜(WWT)数据可视化环境为平台,多年来一直致力于开展基于科学数据的教育和科学传播工作。

Since ancient times, different civilizations have held entirely distinct interpretations of the starry sky, giving rise to diverse stellar cultures. With a long history, Chinese civilization saw its ancestors map ancient society and traditional culture onto the countless stars in the sky, establishing a star official system completely different from Western constellations. Traditional Chinese star imagery, which embodies the concept of Unity of Heaven and Humanity, is a treasure of world culture passed down over millennia. As Chinese people, we should learn about our own starry sky. However, in the eyes of the general public, Western constellations such as Scorpius and Orion are widely familiar, yet few people can explain the meaning of the Three Enclosures and Twenty-Eight Mansions. Nowadays, disseminating knowledge of traditional Chinese stellar constellations among the public is an excellent practice for popularizing astronomical science, promoting traditional culture, and advancing the two-wheel drive of technology and culture. The China Virtual Observatory (China-VO), relying on the strong scientific research and technical capabilities of the National Astronomical Observatories, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has for many years been committed to carrying out education and science communication work based on scientific data, taking the World Wide Telescope (WWT) data visualization environment as its platform.
